"Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean."

What We Do

We assist landowners who may wish to conserve property either by easement or sale.

We monitor existing conserved lands.

We have a conservation fund through which, with the consent of the citizens of Barrington, we work to conserve additional lands.

We provide an advisory pre-screening for homeowners, landowners and developers who intend to bring projects before the planning board that may have an environmental impact.

We sometimes screen projects that may affect wetlands before they are sent to the NH Department of Environmental Services (DES).

We sometimes sponsor educational and recreational activities around conservation issues and lands, such as monthly walks along Barrington trails.
